Job Title: Lead Carpenter

Location: Western Washington/Primarily King County

Employment Type: Full-Time

 

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Lead Carpenter to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have diverse experience building, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for general carpentry work on residential and commercial projects, including framing, finish work, and repairs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform demolition, form work, framing, WRB, window installation, siding, finish carpentry and custom work based on project requirements.

  • Strong knowledge of construction codes and industry standards

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches

  • Adherence to manufacturer instructions

  • Work efficiently with various tools and materials to build structures

  • Ensure quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards

  • Collaborate with other team members and contractors on project timelines

  • Conduct on-site assessments and provide input on project improvements

  • Accountability for project success: Take full ownership of personal work, team performance, and overall project outcomes to ensure high-quality results and timely completion.

  • Maintain site organization and foresight: Ensure clean and organized job sites while proactively planning to anticipate project needs and potential challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a carpenter or contractor

  • Ability to use tools and machinery safely and effectively

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations

  • Ability to read technical drawings and plans

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Good physical condition and stamina

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred: Strong communication skills in both languages to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and clients

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Wage: $35 to $38 per hour, negotiable based on experience
